    Kiwi

Was preparing some fruit and noticed the interesting pattern in the kiwi so instead of eating it, setup the tripod and flash and snapped a couple. Tummy is now giving it some loving attention.

C&C requested - first time doing something like this.

    EXIF - off-camera diffused flash camera left, ISO 400, 1/125, f11, 300mm.

Original - cropped to remove blank space left and bottom.
    Kiwi

    Square crop.

I think I would give it a little bit more brightness, particularly to the highlights, to bring out the pattern more clearly.

Ah, the Chinese Gooseberry kind! Delicious. Thank you for posting, Bobo, but now you've got me wanting some!

Heck, I'm a Kiwi, but I'm so old I remember when we used to call them Chinese Gooseberries too!

PS: Over here we call them kiwifruit, not just "kiwi".

Thanks Geoff - will try that.

Frank, Colin - yes even here in Hong Kong they call it a kiwifruit.

Colin - I stand corrected, Yes it should be kiwifruit.

Btw, does exposure and focus look ok?

Maybe slightly dark but otherwise, looks good to me. The color in the first one looks closer to what I'd expect. The cropped one looks a tad vibrant and I'm still wanting some!

The first one looks perfect! It's a pity you had to destroy, I mean eat, the evidence. Now you'll just have to go out and get some more. For comparison, of course!

If you've never had one, prepare, as in the first image, then scoop out with a spoon and eat like ice cream until all that is left is the skin.

    Re: Kiwi

Thanks guys appreciate the nice comments. I was fearing the worst for a first try.

Yes ice-cream scoop style is one. The other is a health drink. Wash 1, give it a nice shave (without shaving cream), cut into 2-3 pieces keeping skin, put in blender, add water, drink. 1x before breakfast, 1x mid-afternoon.

Helps to reduce toxin built up in the body and later on some weight reduction.

Bobo, also try shooting back lit slices of fruits, thin enough to be transparent.
