Canon -v- Nikon -v- Others: TEAM CHALLENGE - Month ending 30th April 2009

Hi Folks,

Things seem a bit quiet in the challenge dept just at the moment, so I'm going to change it to a Monthly format -- finishing on the last day of every month.

Slight tweaks to the rules ...

- One image per post (as before)

- Image needs to be taken within 60 days prior to submission.

Any questions, just ask :)

Some wide angle probably around 5.something Fstop and 1/450sec . . . ISO100 of course. Between 28 and 75mm . . .

Overexposed, so I took advantage of that in editing. Shot on Poets Lane (I think that's what they call it), A Busker was playing the saxophone and Ronny decided to sit down next to him.

My snake was deleted? Did I break a rule or something? :(

I sent you and Dave a reply PM to this, but to cut a long-story short, the message you're seeing is from Photobucket, not CiC - so I stronly suspect that the problem is at their end. (I couldn't even get the link to work directly in a browser window).

I did edit your post yesterday, but only to remove one set of IMG tags that were showing (you'd managed to enclose the image between two sets somehow).

Reminds me on the old KLM adver.

If this is close to a KLM advertising it is co-incidental.
However, i also associate this with KLM.
The more because this picture is taken at Amsterdam Airport, exactly above the Polderbaan.
At that moment i wished i could combine the swan with a KLM-aeroplane in the picture.
At the other hand, to combine a swan with an aeroplane in reality isn't quite cheerfull.

I remember a commercial where a swan is touchdown in water.
And wish to make a picture of something similar once.
