I didn't realize that Canon produced an L Lens like this. The focal range would be really nice and a bit more versatile than the 70-200mm (series) L lenses, especially on 1.6x cameras...

I am trying to get one for use as a walkaround.
No USM and hunts a bit but the colour rendition is fantastic and very light.
