Sadly this was just too old for this week's challenge, it was shot :eek:, sorry, taken :), on the 4 March.

1/400s @ f6.4, ISO200, about 300mm equivalent focal length (at quite close range)
I took several of this chap, but this is the only one that 'works', largely due to the nice plain 'n' simple background.

You are never too old for a weekly challenge. A liberal dosing of Ralgex and break out those fleece lined zip-up boots...tape your camera to the old Zimmer and away you go:)
Seriously a very nice image though. I love the twinkle in his eye and nicely exposed Black feathers.
A lot of detail there Dave and it is so nice to see you two obviously have a lot in common to compare notes on:p
