    Great Balls of Fire

Now did that get some of you oldies tapping your toes to the old Jerry Lee Lewis number ?

Anyway I'm still on the night photography thing and took these shots in a square in our fair city. The spheres are part of a permanent art feature comprising about 15 spheres spread throughout the square. Shooting details 10sec,f/13 and ISO100.

I would welcome your comments please.

    Cheers Dave

Nicely done... I especially like the B/W shot.

Great job! I like 2 best, the modern balls with the "gothic style" arches is an interesting concept. Looks like a lovely city square.

Thank for your comments Joie. I processed all these shots in colour and B&W and had trouble deciding which I preferred. Just a different feel I suppose.

Thanks James. The building in the background of #2 is an early colonial building. It was used for many years to hold the Qld government Treasury department. Ironically now it is a casino - just moving the money around in a different way !

The second photograph is wonderful, Dave - and it is the contrast of both style and colour of the building and spheres that makes it so appealing.
