Good captures with 2 my favourite. His feathers will be amazing once he has moulted (or is it a her?).
Nice shots. Tossing up between 2 and 4. But leaning towards 4. Mainly because of 'personality and animation' which seems to be expressed by subject. Maybe would have liked to have had the RHS of chest and head in 4 show a bit more detail, if this were possible. Good 'sharpness,' especially of feather details in 1. But I found the other three perhaps a trifle 'soft.' But that is only my opinion on which others may not concur.

I like the personality in #4. Nice series.
Agree with Peter for the same reason.
James,if you hit the space bar a couple of times you'll get separation between each photo.I do 3 taps....unless you didn't want separation of course.
Hi James,
As said above, a good series.
One suggestion to make them more consistent - when you PP the first one and set the WB in ACR (I assume that's what you're using), but whatever it is - if you have tha ability to see the figures of Colour Temperature and Tint, note what they are and use them in the successive shots to get the same colours. Most obvious here is the difference in the green of the background trees. Of course, my whole concept fails if it is the lighting which is varying between shots e.g. sunny one minute, bright shade the next!
My favourite; #4 for the personality shown :)
Thanks all I will try to put more space between them in the future, I guess I dont pay that much attention to it when I am viewing other threads because I always bring up the lightbox.
Very nice, James! Looks like a female to me, but IANAE. One of my favorite birds. :)
Thanks George I like the cardinals very much!!:D
