Re: Canon -v- Nikon -v- Others: TEAM CHALLENGE - Week ending 12 Apr 09
probably left it too late dithering whether to post any this week or not - it does seem to have become 'not done' to comment on pics (so as not to prejudice voting?). However, that cuts out half the point of a forum, ie to get general comment as opposed to answers to a specific question.
Even though the 'competition' is not meant seriously, it is a team thing so another reason for not posting pics that are of personal interest but may not grab everybody and risk letting down the team.

Hi Chris,
I hope members feel free to comment on anything and everything - there's been no "policy" put in place with regards to this; so as far as I'm concerned everyone is welcome to "fill their boots" as we say :)
I DO temporarily relocate comments away from the thread once voting starts - simply because it often pushes some of the images on to page two - and I thought that that may put those images at a disadvantage (since not everyone may realise that there is a page two) - and the comments are always moved back the next day.

Points for the team vote only come from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed images - I did it this way so that the teams with more entries (eg Canon or Nikon) wouldn't be at an advantage compared to team "other" - so other "poorer quality" images (like my cat + daughter one this week) won't affect the team vote :)

Inspired by the bridge shots elsewhere in CiC, as I had a local one too, seemed a shame not to give it a go myself.

A sunny afternoon in York - it was the 29th March if anyone in the UK wants to note this year's sunny day in their diary :)
(only kidding, it's not that bad here really)

Try this guide: https://www.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/thread785.htm
I'm sure there's some flickr examples in there, but I can see your pic, so not sure if you still have a problem.
Cheers,

Beautiful shot! I love the fade from blue to orange-peach.
For flickr images, right click (or ctrl left click for Mac - I forget if it's Alt or ctrl for PC).
If the photo is "private," then you need to find the window in your Browser which lists all files it loads.
For Safari it's "activity," for FireFox it's "media" but FF doesn't give you the full list.
Or you could just take a screen shot!

The week seems to be ending a bit late, so a common or garden bird from team Nikon to go with the exotica
