Unfortunately, handheld...100mm Tokina. I was as tight as I could get without it taking a bite out of the lens...well, sort of...:)

That little monster is only about 32-34mm wide but his claw is over twice that long and can really put a chomp on a finger. Fun thing is, there are well over two hundred all scurrying about in a regular mob-like mentality, yet you never see one injured. I'm going back tomorrow with my 55-300.
Some great pics :) I'm going to the coast at the end of October and am looking forward to taking some pictures there, hopefully I'l find some crabs as well :)
