    Desert Gardens

There are over 1,000 sand dunes to cross when traversing theSimpson Desert. Very good rains over eh last 3 years has seen a flush of wildflowers. This is an example of the dune gardens we passed by. The animal tracks in #2 are from all the little nocturnal creatures we don't get to see but are ever present.

As I said in my comment on your birds sequence, you have made the most of the opportunity and come up with these two nice shots. Isn't it also amazing how nature quickly has awakened to take advantage of the circumstances.

Thanks Keith, the flowers were unexpected. Before leaving I imaged some classic dune shots but this was a wonderful opportunity to see the desert in full bloom.
