    What a find while walking

    Walking through the woods today - came across this little guy! Well actually there were 4 but this one wasn't afraid of me getting close!

    All I did was crop it a little and add a little more brightness and contrast....

    I'm beat and will be heading for the couch soon. I'm a little out of shape and the fresh air all day has made me very tired....
    Hope you all like this! I do!!!
    BUT I would love suggestions for the next time we meet each other in my many walks in the future!

    Hi Kori,

    Magnificent shot.

    The only suggestion that I can make is "Enter it in the Weekly Challenge" for this week (it's the "sticky" at the top of the people and pets forum

    ... I'd say it's in with an excellent chance!

    Hi Kori,

    That's brilliant, you should put it in the weekly challenge, you've about 3 hours left to post for this week's, or catch next week's when it opens Monday evening (GMT), what's that, about your Monday lunchtime I reckon.

    Of course, I'm dead jealous; I went for a countryside walk with my sister last Sunday morning on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors and was told we might happen across a snake sunning itself, but we had no such encounter!

    Anyway- Thank you all very much for these comments - It really helps me to hear these being new to all of this.

    You're all very good for my EGO! Thanks TONS!!! I will have it entered also! Pretty Cool- I really like this site and all of you have been soooo very nice and helpful here! I will be telling friends about it...sorry to say not many of them are photographers though! But I'll do my best!

    My son might! He used to have a Hognose???? Snake. It died a few months back though - but that lovely creature he kept at his Dad's house!!!!!!!!

    I'll stick to trying to take pictures of the ones that are small and harmless! LOL

    Are the ones by you BIG???? And scary????

    Most people don't realise this, but snakes have something in common with bears and spiders ...
