    Spring sprung challenge

I hope we are all allowed to set a challenge. This one is to get one of these little darlings with all 4 feet off the ground. They do it all the time from about a week to 3 weeks old, but needs finer timing and better light than I have achieved so far in 3 DSLR seasons.

Hope you lot can do better; please keep exif intact if possible.

Sorry about Northern hemisphere bias, but will accept kangas doing cartwheels or similar in lieu for next 6 months

Good stuff CC. Our spring is still pending, but coming on rather quickly.
    Great shot!

I was hoping to go and give this a try one evening this week but I think the weather forecast has put paid to that

Here is an effort that fulfills the word, but with little technical or artistic merit
    Spring sprung challenge
1/500 sec barely fast enough and certainly my autofocus and continuous shooting nowhere near on the D80 (even after a bit of doctoring with Focus Magic) - and don't forget to get a decent background. I got the impression that the group had jumpers and non-jumpers, so worth identifying the jumpers and follow one when they get moving.

Hope to see some better shots in due course

    Spring sprung challenge

OK, here is the genuine article. Have been to the Lakes (English) for a week and 2 or 3 of the little darlings were at it as we neared home with camera neatly packed away as the light had gone. However thought it worth a go and not bad for black sheep at dusk? PS it is a Herdwick, the traditional breed of the Cumbrian uplands, very hardy, but lambs and yearlings mostly black.

Have added one gallery of Great Gable ascent from Borrowdale
