    A Thread on Thread

    Another still life attempt of something common and used in everyday life.Out of the few images that i took of these objects in different arrangements i selected this one as it appeared to be the most balanced image to work with.C&C are welcome.Thanks for viewing...Ron

    Hi Ron,

    That is a pretty interesting picture. I like the colours in it.
    What I don't like in it are the harsh shadows and a few lose threads. Surprisingly, those "Ought to be there" loose strings are too distracting.
    Lets see what others have to say.

    I think you have picked a difficult subject Ron. I'm guessing that they are predominantly polyester threads and I have always found them difficult to capture successfully as they always tend to appear over-sharpened when the rest of the image doesn't - it must be the way the material reflects light. Compositionally I love the concept but I'm not sure about the half reels, but that's probably just me!
