I think the chief problem with your original shot, Ajith, is that his eye seems a little dull and soft. That is why Thierry's version has worked; plus the tighter crop to concentrate more on his face.

This is a pleasing photograph, Ajith, but I agree with Geoff -

I think the chief problem with your original shot, Ajith, is that his eye seems a little dull and soft.

This feature is increased, in my opinion, because the rest of the image seems to have slightly too much contrast and sharpness.

In the following crop, I have tried to develop the eye, decreased contrast and sharpness a little, and also given the colour a slight boost.



For me, the result has a more natural appearance - but that might not be what you wanted?
