OBJECT or PHOTO transparency in Adobe Photoshop

We have a photograph, open it in a new file with Transparecy background. we want to transparency in blending (like left to right, right to left, up to down, down to up or any angle) postion to background (which is already tranparent). Like in color transparency; In Color Transparency there is a color (black, red, yellow etc.) to background (which may be transparent or solid). We want to
OBJECT or PHOTO in place of color. We want to OBJECT or PHOTO transperncy to Transparent background. We want to operate it like an easy tool "Object Transparency Tool" in COREL PHOTOPAINT.

i m sending u file attachments created in COREL PHOTOPAINT. i want like this in
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP.

pls expidite !

Hello India,

Not sure if I'm completely understanding what you need, but assuming that I do ...

1. Open the image in Photoshop

2. Double-click the layer "Background" in the layers pallette, and then click OK (this is to unlock it)

3. Press "D" to set your colour pallets to the default

4. Add a layer mask

5. Draw on the layer mask using the gradient tool.

i got ur mail and i m very happy that u got my problem clearly.

i m trying to go through ur giving method.

step-1, step-2, step-3 are clear but step-4 & step-5 is not clear.
(pls see the attachements.)

so pls if u can show me by step wise in capture screen (like i have send u)
or its video or animated window.
