    Hi Javier,

    Here at CiC, we normally post for C&C.

    I can see quite a few problems with this shot, but rather than me be beastly, I wondered whether (and how many) you had seen too?

    I appreciate it might have been a grab shot, perhaps even from a passing car, in which case that explains a lot, but it would be nice to know.

    EXIF = Nikon D3100 at 32mm, iso400, 1/2000s at f/6.3.
    Image 1,024px × 949px (scaled to 700px × 649px in thread)

    Cheers,

    That is a tricky scene, Javier. No matter what camera settings you use there is going to be some conflict between highlights and deep shadows.

    Using fill flash could have been an option, but I don't really like doing that as I think it can be an intrusion into people's 'personal space'.

    However, it is an interesting and colourful scene.

    I did my best shoting from a taxi window; I had few seconds to prepared the camera on high speed mode.

    Ah yes, that explains it.

    Your options were very limited

    It is difficult to shoot from a moving vehicle. I wish I had a penny for every shot I missed or passed by without shooting while I was in a vehicle. I used to cry inside viewing all the absolutely wonderful shots I passed by in China, last year, as I was riding the tour bus. However, if I were traveling independently, I would still be there shooting and my visa would have expired.
