Heading down town this morning I met my brother who works for the local council and he told me that there was a bat lying between the footpath and the road and that it was still alive.I arrived at the scene and duly picked up the poor bat and brought it home.The hope was that it was just stunned and would come around.I captured a few shots with the minimal amount of disturbance to the helpless creature,but alas very shortly afterwards the poor wee mite passed away. Pat.
Oh,it was a Brown Long-Eared Bat. Best Wishes Pat.
