Some junk I found near where I live amongst other junk littered everywhere; but I did manage to get this which is almost identical to one I've seen in the Lightning Enthusiasts Club Webpage.

Is a tighter crop required on the rotor above?

Steve - I know you're asking a specific question about another image in the series, but I just want to note this one. The tones, the lines, the mood of it, are all so good.

I like it too. Top center looks like a robot wearing a quilted jacket.

Just imagine sitting in that thing one hundred feet above a swirling sea. cheers Henry. I have never been in a helicopter by the way, I refused 22 sqdn's offer of a ride in one when I was an Air Cadet. They just don't look safe.

I love the shot of the English Electric Lightening. A great British classic and a classic shot.

If any one is interested - a very readable and interesting book about RAF mountain rescue is Whensoever by Frank Card ISBN 0948153237. Out of print now but canbe found on Amazon

    Re: International Rescue

Cheers Steve; I knew I was going to have problems when I got here, the aircraft are too tightly packed with too much junk left around. It would suit somebody with a decent long lens though.

I've seen exactly the same image on the web, but with the left hand steps missing. I could have done more photo's but I at least like one to be a bit different; the Vulcan wings for instance would look great distorted but too much junk was piled under it.

Never mind I am now saving up for a 70-200mm f4L
