Thread: My back yard

    My back yard

There is NO excuse for this one. CiC is an international community of people from a huge variety of backgrounds. But what is the one thing that we have in common (apart from photography)?

We all have a back yard So let's see it. Let's see some cultural diversity and interest.

Here is mine to kick it off.

Post just one, or as many as you like.

Get your camera (now) and take a shot. Just do it.

Truly beautiful, Rob! I'd love to enjoy morning coffee there. I'm in the car with college boy heading north back to New Hampshire til next Wednesday... So no computer access for me. But I look forward to seeing everyone's backyard.

Wonderful, wonderful fun! She has a green house and all! (Well, of course, but...sigh!) Is that your home, then? Is she in the garden nonstop? It looks lush! Do you help her a lot? Actually, does she let you? I do hope that you have coffee out there. Very, very fun! I've been curious for months, now! Thanks!

Mine is much more austere, but I like it that way because I am not much of one to weed, and tinker with plants...if they don't grow because it rains a lot...tsk-tsk-tsk...my backyard is for entertaining - swimming, BBQing and just a general cook a burger suck down a few brews kind of place.

Even though it is expected, I'm still feeling the urge to apologize for the crappy nature of these shots...

This is our backyard - complete with the four legged beasties that are destroying the grass that is in it. The yard is fairly small but my wife has some gardens around the edges (not really shown that well though) but the main purpose for it seems to be for these two nuts to do exactly what they're pictured doing...

Being in Amish country, the 3 farms along the other side of the street are all Amish. Got alot of horse and buggies going by. We just moved here a year ago and the rock garden was my wife's dream to have.

I was doing nettle patrol yesterday, and the Head Gardener was doing the Buttercup bashing.

Can you not afford two sticks, so they don't fight?

Looks like a nice part of the world to live in, Mike. And a nice garden.

My backyard looks better in the winter, there are too may works in progress right now. This is my perch where I would sit and have my morning tea and wait for the birds to come around.

Actually - even if there are infinite sticks, they will fight over the same one.

    Re: My back yard

House prices are relatively expensive here, and wages low, so my garden is fairly small. But that means that every inch has to be productive.

    My back yard

    And looking the other way.

    My back yard

It has been dull and windy today so I have done the best that I can in the way of a photo. And within the past hour, when it is too late, the sun has appeared!

Where, generally, is 'here'? You certainly packed in a lot there. My wife would like that - greenhouse, shed, vegetable plots...
